Established in 2010 by Shaun Hill on his family's eighth-generation farm in Vermont's remote Northeast Kingdom, Hill Farmstead Brewery has achieved legendary status in the craft beer world. After learning his craft in Denmark at renowned breweries like Fanø Bryghus and Nørrebro Bryghus, Shaun returned home to create hand-crafted, succinct, elegant beers of distinction. The brewery was named Best New Brewery in the World by RateBeer in 2011, then claimed the title of World's Best Brewery six times in seven years (2012, 2014-2019). Hill Farmstead's beers are named after Shaun's ancestors, with Edward—named for his beloved grandfather—being the first beer brewed on March 30, 2010. The brewery's commitment to perfection and refusal to distribute beyond Vermont has made it a pilgrimage destination for beer enthusiasts worldwide.
