Deschutes Brewery
About Deschutes Brewery
Founded in 1988 by Gary Fish, Deschutes Brewery began as a small brewpub in downtown Bend, Oregon, and has grown into the largest wholly independent brewery in Oregon. The brewery is the fifth oldest operating brewery in the state and is renowned for its pioneering craft beers. Black Butte Porter, their flagship beer and the best-selling craft porter in the United States, was one of the original three beers brewed alongside Mirror Pond Pale Ale and Cascade Golden Ale. Over the years, Deschutes has earned numerous accolades, including gold medals at the Great American Beer Festival and World Beer Championships. Mirror Pond won the 2010 GABF gold medal and was named World's Best Premium Pale Ale that same year. Their innovative approach to brewing has made them a cornerstone of the Pacific Northwest craft beer scene.
